The Solution Engineer is responsible for designing and pitching technology solutions for a customer’s business challenges during the sales cycle. Through carefully planned discovery with a range of stakeholders you will uncover the specific business requirements and value drivers enabling you to compose a compelling solution. Working with the extended sales team you will coordinate the customer experience, demonstrate a differentiated solution to the customer, and address any questions and concerns they may have. During this process you will create strong relationships with your customers and strive to become their trusted advisor. Your ultimate goal is to architect and articulate a solution to achieve your customers business success using Salesforce technology.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Own engagements for Enterprise organisations in the Media and Communications industries
  • Work with your customers to understand their challenges and goals through focused discovery sessions and workshops
  • Build and present customised business solution demonstrations
  • Confidently present and articulate the business value of your proposed solution to executives
  • Be an innovator who can invent new technology solutions using out-of-the-box thinking
  • Work as a team player by contributing, learning and sharing new knowledge
  • Manage multiple customer engagements concurrently
  • Present at marketing events
  • Training and enablement of the sales team
  • Be self motivated, flexible, and proactive
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with a focus on comprehending requirements and use cases, developing a solution and articulating business value
  • Superior presentation and demonstration skills with a focus on storytelling
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems
  • Be a fast learner, that can adapt to situations and be comfortable with change

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a comparable pre-sales position, supporting the sales cycle in selling high value business solutions
  • Technical understanding of SAAS solutions, architecture and modern business applications including integrations
  • A broad understanding of Cloud Computing and CRM
  • Experience in multi product solution selling
  • Business Analysis and Business case/ROI construction
  • Telecommunications or Media industry experience, business knowledge and expertise.
  • Detailed knowledge of Salesforce platform
