We are currently undertaking a number of industry-leading Health and wellness projects and are now on the look-out for an experienced Architect to join our Wellness Studio.

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, experienced individual with a passion for creating wellness spaces, to join our multi-disciplinary practice and contribute to the growth and development of a high-performing team.

The Role:

Working closely with the Principal, you will manage and lead projects from inception to delivery, including all aspects of design, documentation, contract administration, quality control, project management, contract administration and client management.

In addition to leading and inspiring a project team, you will utilise your multi-tasking, time management and prioritising skills to liaise with other design professionals, clients and consultants.

You will also be required to prepare and present regular project reports to both internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring quality outcomes across all aspects of the project – design, technical and administrative.

We are seeking an individual, with demonstrated design and delivery experience in the healthcare/wellness sector; including public and private healthcare facilities, aged care, etc. coupled with proven project management skills, ability to multi-task and people management skills. 

This is a ‘hands on’ role and we need a real team player with a positive attitude to take on each new task, no matter how big or small.

To be successful in the role you will have/be:

  • A recognised architectural degree and current registration as an Architect;
  • At least 7 years post graduate experience having worked across all project stages from inception to completion;
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects in Revit and a BIM platform;
  • Strong knowledge of BCA, Australian Standards and AHFG;
  • Experience in Australia with an Architectural practice working on Health and Wellness projects;
  • A successful and current working relationship with key stakeholders at Health Infrastructure NSW, experience in the Private sector or Aged care is desirable;
  • Ability to manage project user groups, expertise in presenting design solutions to clinical staff for comment and endorsement;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technically-focused Contract Documentation and administration;
  • Knowledge of Health Planning including Departmental Planning, production of Room Data Sheets and Room Layouts;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with differing levels of complexity, in various stages of completion;
  • Sound knowledge of Revit and the ability to lead and deliver projects in a BIM environment. Experience with dRofus is desirable;
  • Proven verbal, graphic and written communication skills;
  • Creative with a keen eye for design;
  • Demonstrated client management skills with the ability to negotiate outcomes;
  • Demonstrated people management skills with the ability to mentor, develop and lead project teams;
  •  Ability to apply analytical thinking to solve problems and make decisions in non-standard situations;
  • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude;
  • Approachable with strong organisational, prioritising and time management skills.
