Sales Manager, Protein

JBT Corporation


The purpose of this position is to grow the sales in India market. Follow the regional strategy, work closely with regional leadership team, and cooperate with local operations to promote India made products.


  • Meet the Yearly Sales Budget – Sales and Profitability
  • Develop sales to new customers
  • Develop a strategic & operational plan on 3 years, with quarterly forecast and action plan for India
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Project Management, Applications, Finance, HR, Customer Care
  • Working closely with product management in Asia to expand the product portfolio offered in India, and regions around India, choosing specific applications as catalyst for growth
  • Actively visiting key customers and at their plants
  • Update Salesforce data base on a daily basis – Forecasting, visit planning, pipeline management
  • Be an ambassador for JBT in the country and develop a positive attitude towards our company


  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related fields (preferred but not essential)
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience with direct sales in B2B capital equipment and/or processing industry preferably in the food or beverage sector, especially from poultry and refrigeration industries
  • Experience in capital equipment sales is essential
  • Demonstrate successful use of Value Selling
  • Familiar with food and beverage process engineering, and experience in equipment integration, servicing and solutions is an added advantage
  • Proven sales track record in securing results and meeting profit and sales targets
  • Seasoned exposure in in “country” and abroad is required
  • Fluency in English language is a must.
  • Highly motivated individual, diligent and proactive business attitudes with leadership and entrepreneur flair.
  • Ability to handle full responsibilities of customers’ accounts in the territories
  • Self-starter, independent worker, but definitely a team player with excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, good listener
  • Able to articulate and deliver product presentations, well organized, attention to details
  • Able to represent the protein Sales function in the country on higher level
  • “Relationship Builder” and able to “Open Doors”
  • “Well Liked” and able to generate sales through referrals
