Sales Development Representative

Velodyne LiDAR is seeking an experienced and high energy Sales Development / Inside Sales Representative with the passion to help grow our sales of innovative LiDAR solutions in the U.S. market, through the of generation of strategic leads for the sales team.

Specific Job Descriptions

  • Qualify and follow-up on inbound inquiries to identify high value leads
  • Generate qualified opportunities through targeted prospecting, outreach, and discovery
  • Utilize continuous and consistent process to maintain a continuous pipeline of prospects
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to generate new leads through various channels
  • Identify and close sales opportunities in accordance with the Company’s overall strategic plans and financial objectives
  • Liaise with the U.S. and global executive management team and peers to ensure that leads and sales targets are met
  • Meet and exceed set revenue goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distribution channels and strategic accounts
  • Assist the product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in the US market by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and by closely monitoring industry trends

Required Education And Experience Requirements

  • BS preferably in engineering, business management or other related technical field
  • 3 years’ experience in inside sales
  • Proven track record in strategically building, and managing a cohesive distribution network, and sales results in same or other relevant industries
  • High energy, motivating, outgoing personality; strong communicator
  • Willingness to develop hands-on knowledge of lidar

Preferred Education And Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to sell with a proven track record
  • Experience in using email marketing and CRM tools
  • Experience with security, mapping, and industrial markets is highly desired
  • Knowledge of sensing market, i.e., LiDAR, Camera, Radar and related components
  • LiDAR experience
