Job Title: Sales Development Representative

Location: Irvine, CA

Advantech has an immediate opening for a Junior role: inside SDR (Sales Development Representative).  We will provide you the tools, and training; in exchange, what we’re asking for you to bring is an optimistic attitude, creativity, and commitment to learning and placing your full attention and skills to the challenge of generating radical new growth through account development and sales leveraging Advantech’s industry proven product and services.

 

About this position:

The primary responsibility of the SDR is focused on new account penetration, net new sales revenue growth and market expansion. The SDR will focus on the demand creation engines within Advantech, accept sales leads and turn them into profitable new business. Metrics for success include: lead conversion into new opportunities, accurately managing the pipeline and forecasted revenue, outbound activities, developing targeted accounts/contacts and exhibiting monthly, quarterly and yearly sales growth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Researching, identifying, and generating weekly new opportunities using incoming demand generation tools, outbound follow up calls and email.
  • Broad familiarity, active and comfortable using LinkedIn to share posts and articles (social selling).
  • Building, qualifying, and managing an accurate and growing sales funnel using Salesforce CRM as well as other tools.
  • Working closely with the Sales Manager to explore and develop account strategies and demand generation activities in the assigned territory/vertical markets.
  • Understanding Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), and reporting progress on a regular basis back to the Sales Manager to hit and/or exceed your KPI’s.
  • Provide Tier 1 Technical Support to customers via Chat, phone or email.

Qualifications:

  • Show a career progression that included 1-2 years’ of experience in a relatable customer service, sales or technical field.
  • Ability to demonstrate that they are capable of or open to account development (prospecting, research, and qualifying techniques).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to use MS Office tools as part of detailed reporting requirements.
  • Familiar with PowerPoint and able to provide a market analysis/research presentation.
  • Understand customer behaviors, be able to adapt to their ongoing needs and handle both positive and difficult situations.
  • Internet and phone accessibility for remote work, as well as participation in virtual meetings
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Technology, Engineering or equivalent).
