REPORTS TO: Senior Accountant

JOB SUMMARY: Direct and manage the procurement functions, research and source the best valued equipment, goods and services, prepares documentation and maintains excellent vendor/source relationships

Key Job Functions

Collaborates with plant managers and other department heads to purchase essential goods and servicesConduct negotiations with potential suppliers, carry out related assessments and recommend preferred suppliersConducts research, checks and verifies and maintains records of all goods and services procured and delivered to the companyContacts suppliers in order to schedule deliveries and to resolve any potential problemsSource parts and services at the best possible price and payment termsPrepare and track purchase ordersWork closely with Accounts Payables to streamline payment processes and efficiencyLiaise with representatives from major suppliers and brokers on a daily basisNegotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts both locally and internationallyCosting overseas purchasesLiaise with custom brokers and his/her agents in respect of foreign purchases and facilitates the timely clearance of goods from the portsMaintain proper records of all purchase orders and prepares monthly status reports for managementLiaise with insurance broker re the filing of Accident Reports to InsurerPerform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Job Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration or other related fieldAt least 5 CXCs including Math & EnglishMinimum 3 years experienceStrong communication skills both written and verbal

Strong working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as in aptitude for reading the marketAbility to gather and analyze market dataA knack for negotiation and networking Good planning and negotiating skillsThe ability to effectively develop good interpersonal relationships with all internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work under limited supervisionInterest in market dynamics along with good business senseProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent team player
