A new position exists within our Transport Planning team now in Sydney due to continued growth and expansion. Our team of 15 staff are responsible for supporting our NSW region on projects such as Sydney Metro West and Warringah Freeway Upgrade. We are seeking a Principal Transport Engineer who will be given the opportunity to drive the technical and project delivery of civil engineering projects and large strategic consulting and design projects across NSW. A key focus will be to position Jacobs at the front end of key multidisciplinary transport projects, driving new and repeat business through successful performance and delivery of projects. #APMETransport #ANZTransport #ANZTransportPlanning
Here’s What You’ll Need
You should have experience in transport planning and have a Degree (or approved equivalent) in a related discipline. Additionally, you should have
- Extensive knowledge and breadth of traffic and transport engineering/planning concepts and tasks
- Extensive understanding of the interfaces between transport planning, traffic engineering and transport modelling
- Extensive experience in traffic operations and capacity analysis
- Strong understanding of principles informing road design concepts and development
- Demonstrated project management skills on multi-disciplinary projects
- Extensive communications skills
- Extensive understanding of technical standards for design, construction and maintenance
- Extensive working knowledge of the local environment, relevant industry, particularly working within the New South Wales Transport Sector
