About The Role
The Operator – Drill Open Cut drills blast holes according to Drilling Plan.
What you will be doing
Key Accountabilities Completes Drillerâ€™s Log and record hole angle, depth, azimuth and any geological anomalies and arranges Rig movements with hauliers, carries out routine maintenance on plant and equipment, provides feedback to Orica Management of any customer issues or opportunities for Orica and liaises with the Orica Shotfirer with regards to site conditions, weather and suitability of haul roads for movement of Drill Rig. Performs daily and weekly pre-start and shut down checks and record Ensures all waste material is removed from site Completes JSERA and Take5s relating to drilling activities Attends Tool box talk Attends defensive Driving and Safety Training courses as required Ensures drilling is delivered on time to specification and to customer satisfaction Maximises use of drilling consumables Feedbacks any vehicle issues to prevent breakdowns Conducts On-site interaction with customers to establish any issues and give feedback to Orica to offer a customer solution Passes on feedback from customers on problems/issues to Orica management and technical authority Ensures edge protection is in place prior to arrival of shot firing team
What you will bring
Generally up to 2 years experience.
Role dependent – technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)

Role dependent – add formal / tertiary qualifications if required
Role specific technical / legistlative / SHES certification may be required
