Duties:

 

Recruitment and selection –

  • Procure, shortlist and vet applicants through various techniques
  • creating job descriptions,
  • contract preparation and negotiations,
  • arranging for employee relocation by providing packing checklists, arranging air and ground transportation etc.

Compensation and benefits –

  • Preparation of bi-weekly payroll
  • Preparation and distribution of pay slips
  • Completion of pertinent NIB forms such as sickness or industrial accident claims.

Discipline –

  • Preparation, distribution and recording of disciplinary actions (written warnings, suspensions, terminations)
  • conducting periodic follow-up meetings with staff and superior to ensure changes were made
  • collaborating with legal department regarding employment matters such as pending grievances with former employees

Employee relations –

  • Implementing and organizing social events within the community to promote work/life balance
  • Organizing staff incentive and awards (employee of the month, annual awards, birthday incentives etc.)
  • Completion of applications for short-term and long-term work permits for non-nationals
  • One-on-one counselling and mentoring for employees experiencing issues on/off the job

Qualifications:

·        Minimum 7 years proven working experience as HR Manager or HR Leader

·        Mid-level supervisory experience and experience working independently spearheading a department

·        Bachelor’s degree and/or HR certification
