Islamic Relief Worldwide are currently recruiting for the position of an Head of Program Malawi. The Head of Program will be responsible to provide strategic leadership and expertise to the programme in Malawi, ensure the programme meets Islamic Relief Quality standards, provide timely and high quality proposals and reports to donors, ensure the development and utilization of best practice for technical interventions and to network with, and represent Islamic Relief to stakeholders.
The Successful Candidate Must Have Or Be
- Substantial work experience in management role
- Experience of working with various international NGOs in developing countries
- Experience of developing proposals for a variety of donors
- Experience of managing local and international staff
- Evidence of managing successful institutional bids
- Experience in programme areas – emergency and development and key sectors
- Knowledge of the Southern Africa Region or Malawi
