Enforcement Officer

The successful candidate will report to the Property Administrator (Enforcement Squatter Management).

Job Purpose
To ensure that properties are utilized according to lease agreements, identify squatting, serving of notices to remedy breaches and to carry out eviction procedures.

Key Responsibility Areas:
• Visits unoccupied properties to ensure that no squatting has occurred
• Collects relevant information on properties being squatted on, liaises with Lands Officers and advises Administrators about these cases
• Assists with the serving of demand letters, repossession orders, plaints and writ of summons on lessees
• Assists with the serving of notices to quit and eviction notices on squatters
• Supplies the necessary information to Legal Officers to prepare Affidavit of Service and serve the same on squatters
• Carries out eviction procedures on squatters
• Assists with the coordination of the eviction exercise by obtaining bill estimates, monitoring workmen and liaising with the relevant authorities
• Assists with supervising Watchmen assigned to Crown Lands and vacant government residences to ensure that they are on the job and to prepare pay bills
• Ensures notices served are efficiently recorded and filed

Other Responsibilities
• Performs other related duties assigned from time to time by the Senior Director and Manager, Regional Services

Performance Indicators
• Visits take place as scheduled and critical reports forwarded to the relevant sources within the time agreed
• Legal Officers are given solid information on squatting so that measures can be expedited
• Remedial documents (eviction notices, etc.) are issued to squatters and lessees in a timely manner
• Procedures for eviction are carried as established
• Agency is not paying out money for work not done by Watchmen

Minimum required Education and Experience
• Diploma in Estate Management or Certificate in Construction Management or other related discipline
Experience in security/enforcement operations would be an asset

Special Conditions Associated with the Job
• Traveling – being consistently in the field
• Frequent exposure to volatile communities and abusive clients during property inspections
• Long periods of walking during inspections

Remuneration Package: – Salary Range: $1,166,538.00 – $1,247,093.00 p.a.
– Full Upkeep: $ 894,924.00 p.a. (with motor vehicle)
