The Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Team is a newly forming team who are part of the broader APJ Sales Strategy, Operations and Enablement (SSOE) function. The team is responsible for supporting the World Wide Commercial Sales (WWCS) APJ business in internal communications and employee engagement initiatives. This includes working closely with the Vice President of APJ WWCS on executive communications as well as designing, developing and executing a range of events, programs and activities to help improve the employee experience across WWCS APJ.

The team is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled communications consultant to provide high quality and effective support in designing and implementing communications and engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will have a preference to Think Big and a strong Bias for Action. They will also have excellent organization, prioritization, design, communication and analytical skills. They will possess the ability to take the initiative to complete complex tasks and projects quickly and autonomously, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the WWCS APJ Communications and Engagement Strategy
  • Work with WWCS APJ Leadership Team members to ensure alignment and cascade of the APJ Communications and Engagement strategy to Areas / Segments / Functions within APJ
  • End to end event management of regular WWCS APJ forums (e.g. All Hands) including event ideation, invitation management, event logistics, speaker liaison, post event communication and analytics.
  • Assist with drafting WWCS APJ wide communications and apply superior design skills to ensure all communications (emails, presentations, videos etc.) are of the highest quality and AWS brand compliant.
  • Design and manage annual awards nominations in collaboration with global and regional teams, manage final awards presentations.
  • Work with the global Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) team as the project manager of the APJ CSAT survey, our annual customer survey designed to track and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide ad-hoc support for the APJ SSOE team across events, web content management, news updates, merchandise procurement etc.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in a marketing/communications/project management role.
  • Superior knowledge & Skills in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint, SmartSheet and SharePoint
  • Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with fundamental Adobe tools (eg.Acrobat, Photoshop)
  • Ability to design creative, high quality and brand-compliant PowerPoint presentations, videos, webpages, newsletters and email templates
  • Detailed planning, time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
