The Business Development Manager is responsible for all business development on the implementation and monitoring of Underground Drilling sales strategy by leading and providing information to stakeholders from sales and/or product areas to support the achievement of business division targets.

Promotes the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and Value Selling approach to drive customer value.

Job Responsibilities.

  • Oversee a business development a regional team which evaluates, analyses, and formulates strategies for business growth.
  • Train, guide, evaluate, and develop a regional team of Business Line Managers, Customer Managers and professionals (sales and operations team) to achieve established sales and business development goals.
  • Oversee the development of key projects and is accountable for the successful closure of business deals.
  • Planning and preparation of business proposals and make recommendations to senior management as to implement and monitor division sales strategy for business growth.
  • Competitor monitoring and analysis of the competitive landscape.
  • Conducts market and feasibility studies and their business potential, according to internationally and regionally recognized sources.
  • Prepare and report sales forecast.
  • Establish contacts with high-level customers and other relevant stakeholders to possible business development.
  • Identify new business opportunities with the objective of positioning the company competitively in the market.
  • Develops complete sales proposals for large mining projects focusing on capital and operating cost forecasting.
  • Assist in customer planning for implementation and/or integration of individual products into Surface Drills applications.
  • Respond to product application inquiries and/or escalate them within the organization, to back up and defend product offerings.
  • Ensure that all relevant product information (including technical specification material, marketing/branding material, etc.) is up to date, available and distributed to sales teams in a timely manner.
  • Align with the UGD Division pricing team to ensure prices comply with guidelines established as part of the quotation process.

JOB PROFILE

Minimum of 5 years work experience in UGD products & sales and customer service team’s development.

  • Professional degree in mining, industrial engineering, mechanics, or business is required.

LICENCES & CERTIFICATES

  • Class B Drive License (Chilean legislation or equivalent)

  • Regional and local market knowledge and customer networking.
  • Business Intelligence.
  • Account Management & Value Selling.
  • English in advanced level.
