About the Opportunity

The Unified Communication Team has an immediate opening for a Unified Communications Engineer supporting voice and video solutions across a global environment.

Job Summary

  • Provide day to day support for the Unified Communications environment supporting end users with voice and video requests in real-time
  • Provide support both in person and remotely for executive and VIP meetings and events, assisting with the planning and setup of meetings as needed.
  • Provide recommendation and or training to staff (in person and virtual) for optimal use of conferencing/multimedia technologies based on the business need
  • Support Unified Communications infrastructure and supporting applications, including Webex Conferencing, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity voice mail, and related environments.
  • Implement, maintain, and support the telephony infrastructure, including upgrades, patching, security vulnerabilities, and troubleshooting.
  • Support end user onboarding and offboarding for Unified Communication applications.
  • Support end users in troubleshooting incidents and communicating maintenance and support activities.
  • Works with the UC engineers on projects for Unified Communications initiatives, planning technology roadmaps, configuring and optimizing all voice systems and services.
  • Remains current on new Unified Communications technologies, including protocols, products, and standards in support of current and future UC applications.
  • Fulfills job duties and responsibilities in conformance with sound safety practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


  • Proven track record of supporting non-technical staff, including executives and administrative assistants, with the use of conferencing technologies
  • Strong engineering capabilities with the ability to research and learn new technologies, perform maintenance and operational duties, and effectively troubleshoot issues in a high stress environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and able to work independently to resolve technical challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to balance multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of management, local and national support staff, customers, and external vendors.
  • Primary focus will be at Miami, FL headquarters, with some travel required based off projects and other needs.
  • Must be willing to be in on-call rotation and offer weekend and out-of-hours support as needed.
