The Role

The Admin Clerk will be responsible for capturing, recording, and analysing of data at B&E, Jwaneng Mine. Also ensuring the accuracy of the information recorded.

Key Performance Areas

The various skills/competences are, among other things:

  • Data entry, storage, record keeping and data verification by comparing it to source documents
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Sort, organize and file paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
  • Assist in generating quotations and estimates for customers
  • Respond to customer request in a timely manner
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly report both internally and externally
  • Responsible for all data entries and hard copy filing
  • Assist in generating supplier purchase orders
  • Work towards achieving set KPI’s for the site
  • Adhere to all SMR Policies and procedures especially the SHEQ policies
  • Carry our work in accordance with set time frames
  • Daily monitoring and evaluation of Rock tools performance
  • Locate and correct any visible data errors by confirming its integrity with supervisors

Your Profile

An Admin Clerk is expected to have:

  • Diploma in Business Administration
  • Experience in working in mining environment is an added advantage
  • Excellent computer literacy skills are required, with experience in using database systems
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Previous experience in data entry and control required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and provide guidance to members of the team
  • Possession of Valid drivers’ license, preferably class B
